- Shut off power at the breaker and unplug any items that are touching the victim.
- Do not touch the victim until the power has been disconnected from them.
- If you cannot shut down the power, stand on a wooden or rubber object and use a broom handle – never a metal item – to move the victim away from the power source that is causing the accident.
