Hernán Valenzuela is a Civil Electrical Engineer from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and holds a Master's degree in Regulation from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
In 2011 he began working as an engineer in the Economic Transfers Department of the Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional. Then, in 2014, he joined the Comisión Nacional de Energía as a professional in the Electricity Department where he led various projects associated with the design and regulation of the electricity market. In the academic field, during 2012 and 2016, he was a part-time professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the Universidad Santa María.
He joined Enel Generación Chile in 2018 and as of November 2020, he assumed as Regulation Manager, a position he currently holds.
