Symmetrically with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations (UN), a line of work was established, seeking to contribute to fairness in the access and permanence of students in formal education. The initiative is aimed at young people linked to the Ralco Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Alto Biobío and Santa Bárbara territories. It considers the delivery of clothing grants for high school students; financial support scholarships for students of secondary and higher technical or university education, and living costs scholarships only for higher level students. This project responds to the specific needs of the students, allowing to cover expenses associated with studies, payment of fees, lodging, the purchase of school study materials, school uniforms, among others.
The resources available for this project are managed and implemented through the Fundación Pehuén, Municipality of Alto Biobío, and Enel, through the sustainability team.
