Description: La Isla Salto La Olla Park, is a Sustainable Ethnic Tourism venture managed by the Mapu Pilmaiquén indigenous community, which main objective is to preserve the biodiversity of the native forest, the Mapuche Williche culture and cosmic view.
Services offered: La Isla Park consists of a 6-hectare area of native forest with no human intervention. Among the services offered by the community is the guided tour of trails leading to the waterfalls of La Olla and El Brujo, in addition to the stories told by the guides, they teach about the park’s different species of native trees. At the reception area there is a varied offer of crafts in wool, wood, and ceramics.
Resources awarded: The community has received private and public contributions. In the first case is the collaboration by Enel, through the loan of the La Isla Park and a long-term development fund allowing it to purchase infrastructure for the operation of the La Isla Park. In respect to the public contributions, it has received collaboration from Conaf and Conadi (forestry studies and training).
