The Quintero Competitive Fund are an initiative that sets out to improve quality of life amongst residents of the districts of Quintero. For more than 11 years this program, spearheaded initially by GNL Quintero and since 2016 by Enel Generación Chile, sets out to help fund civic projects and initiatives with an emphasis on enhancing the implementation of proposals in line with social and technical parameters so as to create sustainable and measurable benefits to the community and its organizations.
On the back of eleven years of success, the two companies have decided to move to the next phase in the evolution of this program and its Competitive Fund process. The new application procedure is more coherent with today’s formats and ways of operating, more friendly, and every bit as efficient, so as to favor the development and presentation of projects, in an essentially remote and virtual process.
In line with the process of review and continuous improvement, for this edition it is considered to emphasize initiatives that contribute to the economic reactivation, local heritage and identity of the territory, as part of the main objectives of the Funds, providing support through resources , teams and interventions.
Also, as in previous versions, different borough's social organizations will be able to apply, materializing goals and helping the social and territorial development of Quintero.
Likewise, through the Line of Excellence, outstanding individuals at the community, regional or national level, in disciplines such as science, technology, art or sports, may also apply for the Quintero Competitive Funds.
A more modern initiative, with full awareness of the risks and restrictions that are currently affecting the country, it sets out to help mitigate the effects of the outbreak by preventing gatherings of people and, fundamentally, incorporating a new line of funding, focusing on the businesses that have been most severely affected by COVID-19.
