This project aims at defining a conservation plan for areas in the Maule basin, in order to mitigate environmental impacts, ensure the regeneration of natural capital, and guarantee the sustainability of hydroelectric generation.

The construction of the plan, according to the TNC methodology, begins with the definition of conservation objects (OC) that are ranked with the participation of Enel personnel, experts, and community representatives. Then, for the first 3 OCs, the Ecological Risk Indices (ERI) are calculated to measure the risks associated with external threats to these OCs. Finally, conservation plans are generated, valuing the actions necessary to achieve it.
