Fernán Gazmuri holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Mr. Gazmuri is currently the Director of several Chilean companies not related to the Enel Group. Among these, he has been the President of Citroën Chile S.A.C. since 1983, President of the Chilean Safety Association (ACHS) since July 2011, and Vice-President of Invexans S.A. since May 2014, a Chilean holding company of the French producer of cables, Nexans. Furthermore, since 2005 he has been the Director of the Chilean Federation of Industry (SOFOFA), a non-profit business association that represents the views and interests of Chilean entrepreneurs, and of the National Automotive Association of Chile, an association of Chilean automobile dealers. Between 2013 and 2016 he was the Director of the National Petroleum Company (ENAP), an oil company owned by the Chilean State. Also, Mr. Gazmuri was the Vice-President of the International Chamber of Commerce of Chile (CCI) between 2005 and 2009.
In 2016, he received the Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez award from the Metal Products Manufacturers Association for his outstanding work and business professional career. In 2014, he was awarded the Ordre National du Mérite by the Republic of France.
