Cerro Pabellón Geothermal Power Station

This is the first power plant in South America to generate electric energy from heat from the depths of the Earth. Built in 2017, it is the highest geothermal power plant of its kind in the world, located at 4,500 meters above sea level.

Sierra Gorda Wind Farm

Since 2016, this plant has delivered the equivalent of the annual consumption needs of some 130,000 Chilean homes, thus avoiding emitting into the atmosphere more than 140,000 tons of CO2 per year. Get to know our 56 powerful wind turbines up close.

Finis Terrae Solar Plant

Built in 2016, this plant began expanding in June 2020. Once completed and in full operation, Finis Terrae will have a total of 984,060 photovoltaic panels, which will produce clean energy for consumption in some 369,000 Chilean homes.

Sol de Lila Plant

The Sol de Lila photovoltaic plant entered into commercial operation in September 2022 and has an installed capacity of 161 MW. It has installed 407,400 bifacial monocrystalline photovoltaic panels, state-of-the-art technology that allows greater efficiency in capturing solar radiation.

Rapel Hydroelectric Plant

Inaugurated on June 21st, 1968, with an installed capacity of 377 MW, it is considered the first large Chilean hydroelectric plant and a national engineering pride, due to the challenges faced during its development and to the number of man-hours, a total of 4 million, needed for its construction.
