Campos del Sol Photovoltaic Plant

Located in the Atacama Region, 60 km northeast of Copiapó, the Campos del Sol solar plant has an installed capacity of about 375 MW. It can produce more than 1,200 GWh annually, avoiding more than 947,000 tons of CO2 emission into the atmosphere.

Campos del Sol has close to one million bifacial PV panels, a technology that maximizes energy generation by capturing solar radiation from both sides of the panel, generating, on average, 12% more electricity than conventional modules.
