Santiago, December 18, 2020. The Board of Directors of Enel Generación has learned that Michele Siciliano has presented his resignation as General Manager of the company. The resignation will be effective as of December 31, 2020. In his replacement, the board of directors has unanimously appointed Mr. James Lee Stancampiano as the new General Manager of Enel Generation Chile as of January 1, 2021.
The Chairman of the Board, Giuseppe Conti, praised the management period of Michele Siciliano, who will assume a new leadership challenge in the Enel Group. “His leadership at decisive moments for our company has been fundamental. In the last year he guaranteed business continuity during an exceptionally difficult time, changing the way the company works. He also laid the foundations for a more sustainable future by starting the decarbonization and energy transition process of our grid, always with conviction and special concern for our workers. We appreciate his commitment and wish him every success in his new challenges,” Conti said.
James Lee Stancampiano has a degree in Environmental Economics from the University of Siena. He has extensive experience in renewable energy development, business and regulatory management. He joined the Enel Group in 2009 and has worked in several countries. In 2012 he arrived in Chile and took charge of the portfolio of renewable projects in Chile, Peru and Colombia. Since 2016, he has worked as Head of Business Development for Latin America.
