Enel Distribución activates prevention plan due to rainy weather expected in the Metropolitan Region

Santiago, June 11, 2020 - Enel Distribución activated its preventive plan to respond to any possible incidents that could affect the electrical distribution system due to weather forecasts showing a chance of rain and wind in the Metropolitan Region. 

To this end, the company reinforced its on-site technical and operational capacity, as well as its information and customer interaction channels.

Likewise, the company has reinforced its call center (600 696 0000) and digital channels to facilitate customer interaction. Power-dependent persons

Enel Distribución has over 400 generators available for priority cases in the event of a power outage assigned to homes with registered power-dependent persons. The company has also distributed additional equipment to municipalities belonging to its concession zones in order to meet the needs of power-dependent patients at each location.

In the event of service interruptions, the company requests that customers avoid interfering with the power network, to steer clear from restoring power by their means to prevent the risk of electrocution.
