Santiago, February 28, 2024.  Enel Chile S.A.'s Board of Directors issued an announcement informing the appointment of Giuseppe Turchiarelli as Acting CEO for the company.  The executive, who will continue to serve as the CFO, will assume the new responsibilities starting March 1st.

In January, Fabrizio Barderi resigned from his position as CEO of Enel Chile to take on new responsibilities within the Enel Group.

Herman Chadwick Piñera, Chairman of the Board for Enel Chile, expressed gratitude for Fabrizio Barderi's work during his two years in office: “I’d like to point out that thanks to his leadership, we have made significant progress in the energy transition process we are promoting here in the country. Among the most important milestones include the closure of Bocamina II, our last conventional generating unit in Chile, and the incorporation of new renewable capacity into the country's generation matrix, as well as significant work to make our portfolio more flexible and allow us to improve the company's key financial indicators.”

The Board is already considering a final candidate to take on the role as CEO, but is still carrying out the necessary procedures for their appointment.
