During 2020, Enel Chile's Circular Economy Area inaugurated the “Conscious Consumer Journey” program, a tour of five stations focused upon: Climate crisis, Conscious Consumption, Food, Dress and Transportation. This journey sought to empower all of the company's collaborators to take action on their consumption decisions and for them to contribute towards living a healthier, happier life in harmony with the environment. To achieve this, five videos were developed, one for each station, providing both information on the environmental impacts of the current way of producing and consuming, as well as practical advice to be applied in everyday life.
Each station is completed with additional data enabling them to take action, such as information from local entrepreneurs helping you to purchase at wholesale prices, to transport yourself sustainably, to create your own garden, composting your organic waste, among others; in addition to linking them with worldwide reference points, delivering practical guides and more.
To motivate the collaborators who decided to participate in this journey to take action and to accompany them on this journey, during 2021, the circular economy area together with Idea Hub, which promotes the culture of innovation, will organize creative sessions for the discussion of their current actions and to determine short, medium and long term goals, incorporating more sustainable habits in the way they consume.
This journey does not end here, during 2021 participants will share their successful experiences in order to inspire others in joining this challenge of becoming a conscious consumer.
