Atmospheric Water Capture

The photovoltaic generation parks owned by Enel in northern Chile require frequent cleaning of their solar panels, in order to prevent the dust and dirt that naturally deposits on their surface from reducing the efficiency of electric power generation over time. These maintenance tasks translate into a periodic demand for water, which is very scarce and precious in the Atacama Desert. This is why Enel Chile has developed a project for the capture of the atmospheric water present in the north of the country.
