After the positive results of Enel Chile’s Public Offer of Shares of Enel Generación, which gave way to the incorporation of Enel Green Power Latinoamérica by merger to Enel Chile, an important restructuring process took place that consolidates our company as leader of the electrical industry in the country.

This leadership is evident considering that we are the largest and most diversified company in the industry and one of the 10 companies with the most value in the Chilean market.

In electricity generation we have 7.5 GW of total installed capacity in the country and the merger with Enel Green Power provides us with the largest renewable energy platform in Chile, with 4.7 GW of energy from a total of 36 plants, including hydroelectric, wind, solar, plus South America’s first geothermal plant.

In the distribution area, we represent more than 40% of the national market, making us the most important company in the Metropolitan Region, serving 1.9 million customers. While always attempting to maintain that leadership position, we are working on the modernization of our service, through the installation of smart meters, the automation of a medium voltage network, digitization, and the use of big data.

In addition, we work constantly seeking sustainable technological solutions for cities, industries, homes, and people, being important promoters of electric transport in the country. For example, we imported the largest private fleet of electric cars, which are in the hands of company workers; we installed more than 20 public and private charging points, both in Santiago and in some regions of the country; we made available the first electric bus for public transport, circulating free of charge in the historic center of the city; and we collaborated in the inclusion of two more electric buses in Santiago’s bus route # 516.

We promote energy efficiency in the city, with more than 200,000 street lights installed inside and outside our concession area and we offer a complete range of innovative and efficient electrical products and equipment for the home. In this way, we wish to contribute to the improvement of people’s quality of life, with the clear conviction that we are taking a clear and sustainable path to successfully address the challenges of a scenario in constant evolution.
