One of the key elements that motivates us, is to maintain a strategic and operational focus allowing us to bring our services to more and more people, thereby promoting local economies and expanding access to energy. This is why we have just opened a commercial office in Concepción, seeking to promote the development of cutting-edge energy solutions in this city.
With these new headquarters, we are making services available to people and companies in the Bío Bío region, including the commercialization of energy for private customers and public lighting or energy efficiency projects. For Simone Tripepi, Enel Chile’s E-Solutions manager: "the inauguration of this office marks a milestone of what is already a reality for us, since our commitment to this region has been active since last year. In Concepción we currently have several clients using Enel power supply, we have participated in projects such as energy efficiency in the Hospital de Concepción and public lighting in San Pedro de la Paz, so now we can truly say that we have become part of this region."
Likewise, these new headquarters will allow us to continue working on the massification of electric mobility, a subject that we have been strongly supporting in the Metropolitan Region through important advances in both private and public transport. Continuing with the same theme, in Concepción we have installed the first electric vehicle charging station in the region. In this regard, Carola Venegas, Bio Bio Region’s Energy Ministry commented that "nowadays the world of energy is no longer limited to the area of electricity generation. As a Ministry we are promoting a policy towards energy efficiency, towards the incorporation of renewable energies, and towards self-consumption, in this sense we thank Enel for opening their offices in Concepción, as this will facilitate the public-private partnership to continue meeting the objectives of sustainability that the Ministry of Energy has outlined as a long-term policy for the country."
But our work does not end here: we want to continue generating strategies that allow us to develop increasingly innovative technologies. As an example we reached an agreement with the Universidad de Concepción, through which we will bring joint projects to life that are of interest to the city residents, in order to make progress in building a more modern society.
