The Scuola Italiana Vittorio Montiglio de Santiago began September with a very special visit. Enel's innovation team went there to present new technologies and innovative services currently offered by our company, to the 9th grade students.
Distributed generation, electric mobility, and the first social network for wireless recharge of cellular devices, called "Chispers", were some of the innovations that the students learned about.
After a theoretical talk about the different forms of energy production and their applications, students were able to experience the different technologies offered by Enel for themselves: they did a tour in an electric car, learning about its operation and different characteristics; they observed the "Chispers" wireless charger and its mobile application; and had the opportunity to see an example of residential photovoltaic generation in operation which was connected to some light bulbs and a portable battery.
Both the talk and these participatory experiences are part of a project that introduces students to the new Enel solutions and reveals what our company does in Chile, beyond its electricity distribution and generation activities.
