Enel Distribución joins in supporting the country’s energy efficiency by awarding a grant for street lighting in the community of San Pedro de la Paz, in Chile’s Biobío Region.
The project covers the installation of 8,240 LED streetlights to replace the existing ones. What is more, 2,980 of these units will feature the installation and subsequent monitoring of a remote management system that will allow parameters of their power consumption and optimization to be controlled at a distance.
San Pedro de la Paz is the latest addition to the group of districts where Enel Distribución has installed LED lighting outside of our concession zone in Santiago, Chile. These include: San Antonio, San Bernardo, Coronel, Peñaflor, Pucón, Talagante, and Rancagua, with a total of more than 59,000 lights used in the projects.
This is yet another expression of the company’s Open Power vision, looking forward to a more efficient and sustainable energy future to improve people’s quality of life.
