- The new facilities will enable Hilaria to lower its greenhouse gas emissions and substantially reduce energy costs through the self-generation system.
Santiago, October 22, 2025. Enel X installed a new 126 kWp solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the Hilaria Event Center, located in Ciudad Empresarial, Huechuraba. The project will allow one of Santiago's most modern and versatile event venues to run entirely on renewable energy, strengthening its commitment to sustainability and environmental care.
The new solar plant in Hilaria, an energy customer of the Enel Group, involved the installation of 210 high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, each with a capacity of 600 Wp, along with a 100 kW inverter. This setup is expected to produce approximately 209 MWh annually. Additionally, the solution includes real-time remote monitoring to ensure efficient energy generation and has backup electrical infrastructure for continuous, reliable power supply.
Installing the solar plant will enable the Hilaria Event Center to reduce its energy expenses by 87% and eliminate 42 tons of CO₂e emissions each year, equivalent to the absorption capacity of 2,347 trees annually. As a result, every event or celebration at the venue offers a more sustainable experience for both hosts and attendees.
The project, executed on a turnkey basis, includes engineering, SEC filings, supply, implementation, and commissioning of the photovoltaic system. Enel X is also responsible for operating and maintaining the solar photovoltaic plant throughout the contract to ensure proper functioning. The installation was completed using the Net billing scheme, which will enable the Hilaria Event Center to feed energy into the grid, strengthening its role in the country's energy transition.
