- Enel X becomes Fastpack's integrated energy partner, enabling cost savings, using clean energy for its operations, and reducing its carbon footprint.
- The energy efficiency solutions complement Fastpack's Free Customer contract with Enel Generación, which certifies using renewable energy for its industrial operations.
Santiago, July 29, 2025.- Enel X and Fastpack have signed a comprehensive energy alliance that will enable the company to operate using renewable energy, facilitating the implementation and commissioning of a 205 kWp photovoltaic plant at its facilities in Lampa.
Fastpack, a company offering transportation, fluid handling and control, fire protection, and other services, is now powered by solar energy thanks to the installation of 402 high-efficiency 510 Wp photovoltaic panels and two 100 kW inverters, as part of the energy solution implemented by Enel X.
This modern and innovative system will allow Fastpack to produce 309 MWh of energy each year, cutting about 75 tons of CO2e emissions annually, which is equivalent to the absorption of 4,156 trees per year. Additionally, the system, already operating successfully at Fastpack, features a real-time monitoring platform that offers efficient management and optimizes energy use minute by minute.
Karla Zapata, general manager at Enel X, emphasized this new initiative by Fastpack, with whom we share a common environmental commitment. "Our expertise lies in assisting various companies and industries in their transition to cleaner energy, offering solutions that not only reduce costs through renewable energy, but also enable them to incorporate sustainability into their operations."
Milenko Kovacevic, general manager of Fastpack, emphasized that “this partnership with Enel X demonstrates our dedication to sustainability and innovation—core values that have established us as industry leaders. Using renewable energy helps us lower our carbon footprint and supports the strategic goals of our mining clients, who are increasingly adopting cleaner and more efficient practices.”
The photovoltaic plant installation project was implemented through a leasing model that encourages sustainable infrastructure development. In this arrangement, Banco Bci serves as Enel X's financial partner, providing favorable terms to companies dedicated to expanding the use of renewable energy and green technologies.
Juan Ignacio Acevedo, Wholesale Business Strategy Manager at BCI, stated, "We are proud to serve as the financial partner for initiatives that help our customers shift towards more sustainable business models. In collaboration with Enel X, we assist Fastpack in adopting clean technologies by offering financing options that promote the country's energy transition."
Through this initiative, Fastpack reaffirms its dedication to sustainability and innovation in its manufacturing processes by adopting new clean technologies that support its commitments under the company's Free Customer contract with Enel Generación. This agreement supplies the company with power from certified renewable sources to back its operations.
