Santiago, December 13, 2022 - Enel Generación presented "24/7 Carbon Free Energy", the first application for hourly monitoring of the origin of renewable energy. The platform available for free customers, unique in the country, shares where the energy they use in their operations is generated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The new platform complements the Renewable Energy Certificates that some companies have opted for to certify that the energy consumed in a year has a 100% renewable origin. The carbon-free energy tracking and traceability platform are now starting its commercial phase.

The platform was tested in a pilot in 2022 in conjunction with five free customers with excellent results. We were achieving 100% hourly traceability for our customers with energy supplied by a mix of wind, solar, geothermal, and hydro technologies.
Until now, the traceability of renewable energy has been yearly. From now on, "24/7 Carbon Free Energy" identifies the energy hourly from its origin and links it to the business supply, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The platform allows for multiple user roles - such as producer, supplier/retailer, consumer, and auditor/verifier - with responsibilities and functionalities appropriate to the specific needs of each group. It also provides reporting and data visualization through an integrated dashboard.
This innovative solution began development in mid-2021, and by the end of that year, the pilot stage began with customer participation to become the first commercial application of its kind in the country.
