Statement

Los Angeles, March 29, 2022. We welcome the intervention of the Regional Delegate in ordering the enforcement and maintenance of public order and in safeguarding the electricity supply. After having access to our Central Pangue hydroelectric plant blocked for more than two months, our workers will be able to safely return to our facilities and ensure the continued operation of the plant, which also provides stability to the Biobío River basin. We pledge our technical and managerial efforts to restore this unit's operational standards and reliability as soon as possible. Regardless of our intention to pursue whoever is responsible with the respective authorities, we respect the path of transparent dialogue in the region and trust in the collaborative work we have undertaken to develop the local communities of the Alto Biobío.
