Santiago, December 16, 2025 – At 8:30 a.m., approximately 6,000 Enel Distribución customers in the Santiago municipality are without power due to a high-voltage failure that happened last night.
Technical teams worked through the night, but because of the complexity of the fault, they have not been able to restore service to all customers.
At the same time, Enel Distribución activated a backup plan with generators, which will be deployed this morning at various points in Santiago to provide temporary power while repairs are made, a process that could take several hours.
