Statement

Enel Distribución, received a sanction from the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels for miscalculating the Non-Registered Consumption (CNR) to some customers between 2021 and 2023. As soon as discrepancies were detected for 7252 customers, the company took diligent and agile measures to correct the situation. In the case of 873 customers who were charged erroneously, Enel Distribución carried out a re-invoicing and refunded the total amount charged wrongly.

To prevent any future occurrence, Enel Distribución has implemented a series of control measures, which have already been reported to the authorities. The company will also appeal the fine amount imposed by the regulator.
