Santiago, Sunday, April 12, 2026 – A lively weekend of sports, energy, and teamwork was enjoyed at the latest edition of the Enel Cup. This event united boys and girls from various communes in the Metropolitan Region to participate in soccer and to embrace the values it fosters.
In the 2026 edition, 36 men's and women's teams from 18 communes within Enel Distribution's concession area participated in 50 matches, featuring a group stage on Saturday followed by knockout rounds—quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals—on Sunday.
After intense matches and continuous support from their families and friends, Independencia in the men's category and Santiago in the women's category were crowned champions of this new edition. Both excelled in performance, commitment, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
As usual, the tournament showcased its historic ambassador, Iván Zamorano, former national team player and Chile's top scorer. He joined the participants and emphasized that sports are a vital tool for the personal and collective growth of boys and girls.
