Santiago, December 20, 2022 - Enel Chile received the highest award given by Alas20, the Alas20 Company Grand Prix. The latter is the most important category to which a company can aspire in Alas20 and is awarded to only one company in Latin America delivering leadership, consistency, and excellence in the public disclosure of information on its Investor Relations and Sustainable Development practices. Enel received this recognition because it won first place locally as a Leading Company in Sustainability and the Alas20 Company Award.

Only the company that has won the ALAS20 Company Grand Prix category in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru wins the ALAS20 Company category.

"We are proud to receive this distinction because the market must recognize that sustainability is an intrinsic part of our business. All our operations go hand in hand with sustainability, thereby driving the creation of value for our shareholders and all our stakeholders," said Fabrizio Barderi, general manager of Enel Chile.

At the country level, Enel Chile stands out as a leader in the Alas20 category, the most important category to which a company can aspire at the national level in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, with only one country receiving the recognition. Only companies that have obtained first, second or third place in the following categories are eligible for this distinction: Leading Company in Sustainability, Leading Company in Corporate Governance, and Leading Company in Investor Relations. In the case of Enel Chile, the company obtained first place in the category of Leader in Sustainability, thanks to a demanding ESG rating process conducted by Morningstar Sustainalytics, and third place in the category of Leading Company in Investor Relations.

ALAS20 is a programmatic agenda that looks to promote sustainable development in Latin America from business management and investment decisions as an effective way to achieve a more sustainable, fair, and inclusive world.
