Santiago, April 28, 2021. Enel Chile shareholders have elected two women, Monica Girardi and Isabella Alessio, to the company's board of directors, in addition to other candidates that were put forward for board membership for the 2021- 2024 period.

Enel SpA proposed Herman Chadwick and Salvatore Bernabei as Enel Chile S.A board members as well as, for the first time in its history, two female candidates, Isabella Alessio and Monica Girardi. Both women are experienced executives in the corporate world.

Italian shareholder Enel SpA proposed independent candidates Fernán Gazmuri Plaza and Pablo Cabrera Gaete for Enel Chile SA's board of directors. They were duly elected at a shareholders meeting held on March 24, 2021.

In addition, Luis Gonzalo Palacios Vásquez was proposed as an independent candidate by AFP Habitat and elected as a full member of the Enel Chile S.A. board.

“Monica and Isabella are highly qualified women whose professional experience will bring a lot to the company. In these modern times, it would be wasteful to take not advantage of people of this calibre who can contribute so much to the country and to the growth of its companies. Bringing them onto the board of directors is not only just a question of narrowing the gender divide, but also important for introducing different perspectives to the running of the company. We also welcome Gonzalo Palacios, who joins as an independent director,” said Herman Chadwick, president of Enel Chile.

The election of the company's board of directors included a list of candidates that were put forward for the position. The list was published ahead of time on the website www.enelchile.cl.
