In an extraordinary meeting held today, Enel Chile’s Board of Directors unanimously decided to appoint Larraín Vial Servicios Profesionales Limitada as an independent assessor to analyze the proposed corporate reorganization presented publicly on Friday, August 25. Oscar Molina was also appointed as an expert.
In turn, the directors committee of Enel Chile, in an extraordinary meeting held after the board meeting, unanimously resolved to appoint Econsult Capital as additional independent assessor.
"Both assessors are very well known in the Chilean market and have extensive experience in this type of processes with the prestige and capacities necessary to advise the directors and provide serious guarantees of professionalism," said Herman Chadwick, Enel Chile’s president.
Last Friday, Enel Chile's Board of Directors informed the market that its members unanimously approved the proposal to merge the assets of Enel Green Power in Chile with Enel Chile and carry out a takeover bid (OPA) for up to 100% of Enel Generación Chile. That same day it was confirmed that this operation would be handled as a Related Parties Transaction (OPR).
