- Led by Enel and Fundación Innova in partnership with the Municipality of Litueche, the initiative aims to strengthen local businesses and support economic development in the community near the Rapel Power Plant.
With strong participation from entrepreneurs, officials, and local organization representatives, the first application call for the Emprende con Energía Rapel 2026–2028 competitive grant program was launched. The Litueche call aims to create new growth opportunities for people engaged in productive activities in the municipality, with a particular focus on energy efficiency.
Enel Generación leads the program, with support from Fundación Innova and in collaboration with the Municipality of Litueche. The program aims to promote and strengthen local businesses and entrepreneurial ventures, supporting economic development in the municipality where the Rapel Power Plant is located.
The event was held on Tuesday, October 6, at the Litueche Municipal Hall. Attendees learned about the application process, its goals, benefits, requirements, and key features, and had the opportunity to ask questions and get guidance on preparing their projects.
Tools to strengthen applications
As part of the event, organizers gave a detailed presentation on the funding call and led a hands-on workshop to review the application form and examine examples of eligible projects. The session offered participants practical tools to help them prepare their proposals.
The launch was attended by Verónica Brûlé Bianchi, head of operations and maintenance at Enel Generación’s Rapel Central; Catalina Toro Parot, president of Fundación Innova; and Rodrigo Palominos Vidal, mayor of Litueche. The representatives emphasized the importance of creating opportunities that foster business growth and support local economic development.
“We are very proud of this launch. At Central Rapel, our goal is not only to generate energy, but also to be good neighbors, communicate openly and transparently, and work with local communities to improve their quality of life,” said Verónica Brulé, head of operations and maintenance at the Rapel power plant.
For his part, Litueche Mayor Rodrigo Palominos emphasized that the initiative will benefit the commune’s residents and strengthen the power plant’s ties to the area and its development.
An opportunity for entrepreneurs in the commune
During the activity, participants valued the opportunity to access tools to strengthen their initiatives and raise the visibility of their products and services.
“It’s a great opportunity for local entrepreneurs who need support and a boost to spread the word, grow, and contribute,” said Jesús Hermosilla, an entrepreneur from Litueche.
Catalina Toro, president of Fundación Innova, was also pleased to manage the grant program’s first call for applications in Litueche and thanked Enel and the municipality for their collaboration.
Through “Emprende con Energía Rapel,” Enel aims to create shared value in the region and strengthen its relationship with the community by supporting initiatives that help local businesses grow and boost Litueche’s economic vitality.
