- The edition "Consume and Conscious: water as a source of energy" is available for download at enel.cl and serves as educational material for children.
With the aim of bringing education and environmental care to new generations, Enel Chile presented the book "Consume and Conscious: water as a source of energy", a publication developed together with meteorologist Gianfranco Marcone that seeks to explain, in a simple and didactic way, the importance of water for our lives and for the generation of energy.
The launch took place during an educational activity for children at Kidzania. On that day, participants learned about the water cycle, water's role in energy transition, and how daily actions help care for the planet.
The publication supports Enel's effort to promote sustainability education and raise awareness of climate change. The content targets families and students. It encourages responsible use and efficient consumption of natural resources.
"At Enel, we believe the energy transition is built through education. With this book, we hope children and families will understand why water is vital for life and energy and learn how each of us can protect it daily," said Montserrat Palomar, Sustainability Manager of Enel Chile.
During the event, speakers offered practical advice on incorporating sustainable habits into daily routines. They emphasized how children can be agents of change at home and in their communities.
"In this book, we teach about hydroelectric power plants and reservoir safety in the energy transition. We created this project to educate new generations about water as an energy source and responsible use," added Gianfranco Marcone, the book's author.
The book "Consume and Conscious: water as a source of energy" is available for free download here, as an educational tool for families, teachers, and students interested in learning more about caring for the environment.
