- The free and openly accessible program aims to enhance employability and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
- This year, 44 young people obtained certification in electrical courses, increasing the total beneficiaries to 127 since its start in 2022.
- Looking ahead to 2026, new calls for proposals are planned to continue promoting technical advancements in the sector.
Enel Distribución, in partnership with Proforma, Urbanotec, and Sence, completed a new "Work Scholarships" program edition. This initiative provides development and training opportunities for those looking to enter the electrical industry.
In the 2025 cohort, 44 participants earned certification in Electrical Work Support and Underground Network Infrastructure Operations courses, completing a training phase designed to improve their skills and help them access the job market.
The project was launched to address the challenges caused by increasing city electrification and the high need for specialized technicians. Three years after starting, 127 individuals have completed free courses in electrical work focused on developing practical and technical skills.
This edition included the course "Operations in MT/BT Underground Infrastructure for Electrical Distribution Networks," which lasted 80 training hours and was organized by Sence. Students who completed the modules gained essential skills to integrate into Enel Distribución's value chain and excel in strategic areas of the sector.
Bastián Osorio (27) explains that his first encounter with the electrical field was during high school. He has been freelancing for several years and now sees an opportunity to get training to update his skills. "I really like electricity. It always has to be safe, for workers and people, but you often see shortcomings. That's where there's a major challenge," he says.
Camila Farías (27), Bastián's partner, explains that, unlike him, this course has been her entry into the industry, as she is a preschool teacher and is now looking to reinvent herself. "I like being in the field, getting my hands dirty, being on the move. But you must do it responsibly, so seeking opportunities and getting certified is important. You have to be serious about knowledge and execution."
Through Work Scholarships, Enel Distribución promotes employability and productive reconversion within the communities it serves. In this way, it supports SDG No. 4: Quality Education, reaffirming its commitment to an inclusive energy transition through technical training programs that foster the development of people and their local areas.
In 2026, there will be new calls for proposals to promote technical specialization in the electrical field further.
