During a deeply meaningful and emotional ceremony on Wednesday, July 23, in Pehuenche, Colbún, the keys were handed over and the agreement for the Pehuenche Entrepreneurship Centre was signed. The center is part of the Ruta Pehuenche Entrepreneurship CSV program, marking a significant milestone in the community's development.
This project, led by Enel, is a collaborative effort to improve the quality of life for families along the Pehuenche Route by creating opportunities for economic activities through job training, infrastructure development, and environmental enhancements that support tourism services and local suppliers near Enel's power plants Maule.
The event was attended by female entrepreneurs from the SMEs CreaArmerillo and Casa del Pallet, located in Armerillo and Pehuenche respectively, along with Claudio Helfmann, head of the Central Business Unit, and members of the Central Zone Sustainability team.
This entrepreneurship center, a result of collaboration between Enel and the Sembra Foundation, spans 140 square meters and includes spaces for craftwork, a sales and training room, universally accessible bathrooms, a kitchen, and green areas.
It is important to highlight that Enel has not only made a significant effort to establish this program, which now enters a new phase with the transfer of this center, but also demonstrates its strong commitment to the community by providing a free lease of this company-owned land. This allows entrepreneurs to reaffirm their dedication to developing a new governance model that will include more entrepreneurs from the sector in the future.
