After collaboration by residents, community leaders, Fundación Mi Parque, and Enel Transmisión, on August 20, 2022, the community inaugurated the social intervention on the walls of the Cerro Navia Electrical Substation to recover a safe, inclusive, and sustainable space for the community.
In collaboration with Fundación Mi Parque, the project held several workshops reflecting the substation's identity and integration within the social fabric, aiming to recover 340 m2 of abandoned public space for residents.
We frame the recovery of this space within the commitment to Sustainable Development Goal No. 11, which promotes Sustainable Cities and Communities. It aims to improve quality of life, mitigate social and environmental impact, and develop projects with shared value. The project was positioned as a complement to the creation of murals, offering circular carpentry workshops and ongoing dialogue and collaboration with the substation's neighboring communities.
Finally, with this project, Enel Transmision reaffirms its commitment to expanding inclusive and sustainable urban development, improving its planning capacity, and integrated management with our communities.
