- Thanks to its transparency, Enel Chile is among the three top companies in the ranking that analyzes the quality of financial and non-financial information provided by the companies that make up the IPSA to their target audiences.
- The 2020 Informe Reporta is a report prepared by the Spanish company, Deva, dedicated to the analysis of information provided by companies in their different financial and sustainability reports.
There is no doubt that the reports companies issue each year are a key part of any organization’s relations with their stakeholders, especially with respect to the transparency required by shareholders and financial and non-financial analysts. For this reason, having access to quality and timely information is key for the different players involved in evaluating company performance to be able to carry out their assessments.
Enel Chile's sustainability report contains a narrative that presents the company's strategic pillars as integrated within its sustainability plan. Specifically, the outline of its role in the country's energy transition, along with its sustainable performance across different areas of the business like generation, sales and distribution of energy, innovative energy solutions for industries, housing, sustainable and circular cities.
In the social realm, Enel Chile consistently places the people it works at the center, in terms of professional development, diversity and inclusion, as well as local community relations, collaborating with the latter to develop sustainable economic growth. These pillars are grounded upon a foundation that consists of work health and safety, environmental sustainability, and the supply chain, along with solid governance.
Enel Chile operates along a continuous improvement process for its public information, applying a methodology that has allowed it to scale three spots, and rise 8 points over last year, in the Informe Reporta ranking.
“We receive this recognition with great satisfaction, primarily because we can see that, thanks to our commitment to transparency, we have been able to better demonstrate our strategy's support for sustainability, through concrete and tangible achievements such as these, which is related to timely, reliable, accessible and relevant communication of what our collaborators across all lines of business are doing every day, so as to continue contributing to society and providing access to energy for all who need it,” says Paolo Pallotti, CEO of Enel Chile. “With this, we once again confirm our commitment to continue working to promote and achieve the SDGs we are adhered to, in connection with actions that positively impact society, through concrete and sustainable actions over time,” he adds.
Meanwhile, Enel Américas also made significant progress, climbing from 11th to 4th place, as proof of the Enel Group's commitment to global transparency and sustainability.
