In an effort to improve the living conditions of the more than 200 families who lives at the Medialuna camp, located in the municipality of Lampa, Enel Distribución and Fundación Techo established an alliance that, through a collaboration agreement, will allow the construction of a sustainable community center that will be supplied with renewable energies through photovoltaic panels, will have air conditioning and efficient lighting systems.
This space will not only give a new meeting point and recreational place, but it will also be the ideal location to develop workshops suitable for the whole community, as trainings to reinforce labor skills and educational activities such as waste management, installation of recycling points or the creation of a community garden, among others.
This initiative, which will be operational from March 2019, is part of the efforts made by the Enel Group in Chile, in accordance with the program "Compromiso País" of the Gobierno de Chile, and specifically contributes to the company's commitments towards the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
