Alfredo Montes Errázuriz holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and an LLM from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (Chicago, United States). Prior to joining the Enel Group, he was a partner at the law firm Silva Ibáñez Abogados, and before that, an associate at the firm Yrarrázaval, Ruiz-Tagle, Goldenberg, Lagos & Silva. While working at these law firms, Mr. Montes was recognized as an expert in the energy sector in Chile and abroad by the prestigious international ranking Chambers & Partners.
Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive experience in energy and regulatory matters within the generation and distribution sectors. He also possesses in-depth knowledge of corporate law, corporate governance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), cross-border transactions, and financing.
He joined the Enel Group in 2022, taking charge at Enel Chile S.A. of legal matters related to electromobility and corporate issues. He then oversaw matters related to Administration, as well as the Group’s M&A activities in Chile and the legal affairs of Enel Americas. In 2025, he was responsible for coordinating matters related to sanctions, fines, and other complex issues at Enel Distribución Chile S.A.
On April 1, 2026, he assumed the role of General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Enel Distribución Chile, a position he had already been holding on an interim basis for several months prior.
