Da Vinci Experience

Multimedia show with analogic and virtual technology, in the company of Leonardo´s machines.

 

Da Vinci Experience in Santiago is the exhibition of a multimedia show including analogic and virtual technology, accompanied by Leonardo’s machines, which will be exhibited for the Chilean audience starting July 5th, until September 6th, 2019.

It will take place at two exhibition sites simultaneously: the Sala Pablo Neruda in the Quinta Normal station of the Metro Santiago and in the Museum Artequin, united through contents that will traverse the oldest urban park and one of the largest in the city, the Parque Quinta Normal, where basic and higher education institutions will be participating as well as museums.

This show, organized by Enel Chile, the Italian Embassy and the Instituto Italiano di Cultura di Santiago, has the support and sponsorship of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile, the collaboration of the Municipality of Santiago and the auspices of the Metro Santiago and Museo Artequin; reflecting a joint effort and commitment with development, people, fostering education, culture, creativity and technology in the Chilean society.

 

Immersion Zone

The core of the sensory voyage. Here, the images will be projected upon the ground and walls, at 360°, in a continuous loop narrating an unprecedented story, approximately 35 minutes long, accompanied by the surrounding sound of a fascinating original soundtrack. At the Museo Artequin. Tuesdays through Fridays from 09:00 to 19:00 hours. Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 19:00 hours. Price per ticket: General audience $2,000 – Children, students and senior citizens $1,000. Sundays, free admission.

 

Zone of Machines

The information graphics and the video facilities of the exhibition are improved by ten real scale models of Leonardo da Vinci’s machines. These were meticulously replicated over the basis of the original designs made by the expert Italian artisans of the Asociación OMPSI, Artigiani Umbri dell’Associazione OMPSI. At the Museo Artequin. Tuesdays through Fridays from 09:00 to 19:00 hours. Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 19:00 horas. Price per ticket: General Audience $2,000 – Children, students and senior citizens $1,000. Virtual Reality Zone

There will be eight stations for experiencing virtual reality. Likewise, the Da Vinci VR Experience shall allow the visitors to enter into The Tank, designed by Leonardo, to interact with its mechanisms, to sail in the Rowboat and to fly over the magnificent renaissance Florence with the Air Propeller and The Ornithopter.
