Julia Freitas de Alcantara Nunes graduated with a degree in Economics from UFRJ, an Executive master’s in Planning and Control from Bocconi University in Milan (2019), and a degree in Business Management from IBMEC-RJ (2009). She has extensive experience in planning and control, which is supported by a long career in leadership roles within management control.
During her 19 years at Enel, she has held various positions in Brazil.
She began her career in 2006 as a Senior Planning and Control Analyst at Ampla Energia (Enel Rio), then advanced to Planning and Control Leader at Endesa Brazil, ultimately becoming the Financial Modeling Leader for Brazil in 2010. She has continued her career focusing on business and planning, as well as generation control and energy management.
In 2016, she took on the Head of Industrial Control for Networks Brazil, overseeing three distributors serving approximately 15 million customers and two transmission companies operating between Brazil and Argentina.
In 2024, she was appointed Head of Portfolio Management in Energy and Commodities Management for Brazil. She is also the CEO of Enel Trading and supervises Portfolio Management for energy generation and distribution.
