Environmental situations that may affect the integrity of the gas pipeline. 

The main risks stem from the tasks and works performed on the track of the gas pipeline by persons or companies unaware of its presence (excavations and earth moving, mining activities, repairs and maintenance of other ducts, heavy vehicles transiting over the gas pipeline along unsuitable locations, etc.).

Precautions in order to carry out works in the Gas Pipeline safety area. 

Without prior written authorization from GasAtacama, there may be no excavation or construction in the gas pipeline safety area, within 30 meters at both sides of the longitudinal axis of the gas pipeline. 

The owner of the work shall formally request the written authorization from Gasoducto Atacama, prior to the startup of work in these areas.
