Economic fluctuations in Chile, as well as certain interventionist economic measures by government authorities, may affect the operating results and financial position, in addition to the value of the Company’s securities.
All operations are located in Chile; therefore, the consolidated revenue could be affected by the performance of the Chilean economy. If local, regional, or global trends were to negatively affect the Chilean economy, the financial position and operating results of the company could suffer negative effects.
Both in the past and present, the Chilean Government has wielded considerable influence over many aspects of the private sector, which could lead to changes in economic and other policies. For example, in 2014 and 2016, the Chilean Government enacted Law 20,780 (Tax Reform Law) and Law 20,940 (Labor Reform Law).
Both may negatively affect owners.
