Ignacio Quiñones has a law degree from the Universidad Diego Portales (Santiago, Chile).
He began his career as an attorney at Enel Distribución Chile, and held this position from 1989 to 1994. Then, between 1994 and 1996, he was an Engineering and Construction Attorney at Sigdo Koppers S.A., a national industrial construction and assembly company. Several years later, in 1996, he worked as an attorney for Placer Dome Latin America, a mining company, and then as legal advisor to an affiliate of the company, Compañía Minera Zaldívar, until 2004. In that same year, he became Head of the Legal Department of Gasoducto del Pacífico S.A., a position he held for a year, before going on to become the General Counsel in Chile of Anglo American Chile until 2013. Since then, he has been our General Counsel, in addition to serving as Director of Pehuenche, HidroAysén, and two other affiliates of Enel.
